FAQ

Telehealth is a medium with which we conduct psychological intervention via video or phone.

Telehealth is convenient, accessible and available in the comfort of your own home.

Research has found that telehealth is just as efficacious as traditional face-to-face therapy for many mental health conditions.

No, you do not need a referral. However, if you wish to claim Medicare rebates, you will require a referral from your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist. With a plan in place, you will obtain a rebate of upto $129.55 per session.

You may also use Private Health or NDIS (plan or self-managed) without a referral.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is developed in consultation with your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist, who will determine whether you are eligible.

A MHTP allows you upto 20 sessions per calendar year.

YES, many but not all. There are many evidence-based treatments available for common mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD.

There are some conditions that cannot be cured, like ADHD, ASD and Bipolar, but with psychological support, they can be effectively managed.

Your first session is about your clinical psychologist getting to know you and understand how you came to be where you are today and how we can help you. The session will be conducted at your pace, and you do not have to discuss things that you don’t want to.

It is really important that your clinical psychologist gets a good understanding of you and your history, so that an appropriate, evidence-based treatment plan can be developed. This may take more than one session.
